The morning was a delightful sight, with the school gates adorned with an array of purple and grey balloons, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. A large &#8220;Welcome Back to School&#8221; banner stretched across the entrance, setting the tone for the day. The colours, chosen to represent the school\u2019s identity, fluttered gently in the warm morning breeze, creating an inviting scene for students and parents alike.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the clock struck 7:30, the first trickle of students began to arrive, accompanied by their parents, their faces a mix of excitement, curiosity, and a touch of nervousness. The sound of chatter and laughter filled the air as old friends reunited and new friendships began to blossom. The younger children, some clutching their parents\u2019 hands tightly, were soon greeted by the warmth of the school staff and Principal Jasmit Kang, who were stationed at various points to guide them to their new classrooms. Parents, after ensuring their children were comfortably settled, slowly made their way out, many leaving with a smile of satisfaction, knowing that their children were in a nurturing and supportive environment.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the courtyard, the UAE flag stood tall beside the school flag, both ready to be unfurled in a significant ceremony that marked the beginning of the new school year. As the students assembled, a sense of pride and unity filled the air. Ms Jasmit, with a smile that radiated confidence and warmth, took to the microphone to welcome everyone. She spoke of the school\u2019s journey over the past year, the milestones achieved, and the exciting path ahead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the ceremony, students, guided by their teachers, made their way to their new classrooms. Each classroom was a welcoming space, thoughtfully arranged to help students feel at ease. Teachers, with their welcoming smiles, greeted each student personally, taking the time to introduce themselves and make everyone feel at home. For many students, this was their first time meeting their new teacher and classmates, and it was heartening to see how quickly they began to settle in.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the classrooms, ice-breaking activities were organised to help students get to know each other. Laughter and chatter soon filled the rooms as children shared their summer experiences and began forming bonds that would grow throughout the year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the day progressed, the initial nerves faded away, replaced by excitement for the year ahead. The first day of the academic year at Glendale International School had set a positive tone for the months to come, filled with learning, growth, and the forging of new friendships. The school, now in its second year, had once again proven to be a place where students could thrive, feel valued, and become part of a community that celebrated diversity, learning, and
