The excitement was palpable in front of the tall gates of Glendale International School on the morning of 28th August 2023. After months of preparation, it was finally time for the start of the dream. The dream of imparting enriched British education nestled in nature.
The day signalled the beginning of what promised to be a transformative educational journey for years to come. Conveniently located at Oud Maitha in Dubai, this institution promises to provide world-class education with a touch of creativity and wonder.
The morning began with Glendale International School’s Founding Principal Jasmit Kang teachers and staff, warmly greeting students and parents as they arrived. However, what truly stole the show were the talented performers who turned the entrance into a whimsical wonderland. Jugglers dressed in the school colours of purple and green skilfully tossed colourful rings and clubs into the air, while stilt walkers gracefully glided above the crowd. The vibrant atmosphere they created was nothing short of magical, easing any first-day jitters for the young students and captivating the hearts of the parents.
Inside the main campus, the students assembled in the main courtyard and the parents too joined in for the flag hoisting ceremony. The national anthem of UAE was played as everyone stood in rapt attention after which the UAE flag was unfurled followed by the Glendale school flag. The UAE flag soared with the spirit of our nation, while our school flag represents the promise of knowledge and growth.As the events of the day came to a close, parents bid adieu to the children who were visibly bubbling with excitement.
The first day of Glendale International School’s academic session was not just about education; it was about igniting a sense of wonder and curiosity in the hearts of its students. With a remarkable start like this, the school has set high expectations for the academic year ahead, and it is clear that it intends to exceed them in every way.
