Child Protection Cell (CPC)
At Glendale Academy, ‘Child Protection and Safeguarding’ is given utmost priority and we leave no stone unturned to make the environment ‘Child Safe’. To accomplish the same, ‘Child Protection Cell’ has been set up which is committed towards safeguarding children under all circumstances and situations.

To accomplish the same, ‘Child Protection Cell’ has been set up which is committed towards safeguarding children under all circumstances and situations. Child Protection Cell has designated safeguarding leads who formulate policies and procedures to prevent incidents of child abuse from occurring. In addition to this, the team sets clear procedures for reporting and responding to suspected, observed, or disclosed incidents of child abuse. The Designated leads ensure that all Glendale school personnel, from professional faculty and staff to parents understand the issues of child abuse and neglect, know how to recognise its signs and symptoms, are familiar with reporting procedures, including how, when, and to whom to make a
report. Our CPC also works towards empowering children to protect themselves by equipping them with age-appropriate information and skills in relation to child protection. Empowered children know what behaviour to expect from personnel and from other children, how they should treat others and how they should be treated.
Wellness Officers and Counsellors
We have a well-defined team of wellness officers and counsellors who are dedicated towards ensuring child welfare by facilitating a safe, nurturing environment that’s conducive to holistic growth and by taking proactive measures to prevent scenarios that might jeopardise students’ wellbeing.
School Fitness Curriculum
Aiming to promote physical and mental wellbeing in our students, we offer diverse physical activities, such as swimming, badminton, basketball and football, which are supervised by trained coaches. With a strong focus on fitness, we aim to improve our students’ athletic ability, which often goes a long way to help them build a career in sports later in their lives.
Leader in Me Programme
Glendale is the first Lighthouse School in India certified by Franklin Covey Education. Glendale was also visited by Sean Covey, the President of Franklin Covey Education, who appreciated the implementation of Leader in Me at Glendale.
This programme is aimed at empowering students with the leadership and life skills that they need to become successful in the 21st century. We, at Glendale, believe that every child has her own unique strengths and ability to become a leader. We work towards inculcating certain key values which can help them address issues successfully at school and beyond.
Student Councils
We encourage students to be active problem-solvers. By being part of student councils, our students get the opportunity to lead school activities and community projects and this way, they acquire leadership skills that benefit them in the future too.
Student Lighthouse Team
Our student lighthouse team consists of students from different grades, and they collaborate with one another to address issues and bring positive impacts on other students, parents, families, staff and the community as a whole.
