College Board's Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) Exam 2024-25
The College Board’s Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. Since 1955, AP has allowed millions of students to take U.S. university undergraduate-level courses and earn undergraduate degree credit, advanced placement, or both. Taking AP can help students save time and money, as well as stand out to colleges.
Nearly all colleges and universities in the United States—along with more than 500 universities in 75 countries, including the U.K., Canada, and Australia—view AP participation favorably for admission and have policies regarding AP credit and placement.
Starting in May 2025, standard paper testing will be discontinued for 28 AP Exams, which will transition to the Bluebook digital testing application. Of the 28 digital exams, 16 will be fully digital and 12 will be hybrid.
Students and parents are encouraged to visit the website to learn more about digital and hybrid exam details.https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/exam-administration-ordering-scores/digital-ap-exams/28-exams-digital-2025

- Earn university credit*
- Save money on tuitions
- Be ready for college-level coursework
*Earn college credit and/or skip introductory courses in college. Most four-year colleges and universities in the United States—as well as many institutions in more than 100 other countries—grant students credit, placement, or both for qualifying AP Exam scores. Search credit policies by college.
Certain AP courses have prerequisites. For example, students taking AP Physics 1 should have completed geometry and be taking Algebra 2 or an equivalent course. Check the individual course pages for more information on eligibility and coursework : https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses
